Siskin Subacute West attains highest Medicare Rating
Siskin Hospital is proud to announce that that its Subacute Program has earned an overall Five-Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the highest rating awarded through the CMS Five-Star Quality Rating System.
The CMS Five-Star Quality Rating System helps patients, families, and caregivers to compare the quality of care provided by skilled nursing facilities across the country. The rating is based on a combination of health inspections, staffing levels, and quality measures that reflect patient outcomes and the overall quality of care.
Receiving a Five-Star rating recognizes Siskin Hospital's Subacute Program's commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, safety, and service.
"This recognition reflects the dedication, compassion, and expertise of every member of our Subacute team," said Matthew A. Gibson, president and CEO. "Our clinical teams and support associates strive for excellence every day to help patients recover and regain their independence. We are honored that this commitment to excellence has been recognized with CMS's highest quality rating."
Siskin Hospital's Subacute Program is also certified in stroke rehabilitation and heart failure programs from the American Heart Association, making it the first skilled nursing facility in the state and only the second in the nation to be certified for both programs.
The Association’s certifications further signifies Siskin Subacute West’s dedication to improving the quality of life and outcomes for all patients. The subacute program is uniquely designed to provide patients with an interdisciplinary therapy plan that is less intensive than traditional comprehensive inpatient treatment.
