Healing Garden’s Pavilion Receives AIA Chattanooga Honor Award

The Clarence E. Harris Pavilion, located at the center of Grady’s Garden, Siskin Hospital’s first Healing Garden, has won a 2026 honor award through the American Institute of Architects Chattanooga chapter (AIA Chattanooga).

Thoughtfully designed to create a space where nature and rehabilitation seamlessly blend, our advisory board worked closely with local architecture firm Tinker Ma, LLC, to bring their vision to reality.

Our committee and design team were inspired by the rich history of Mose and Garrison Siskin with Siskin Steel and the symbolism between the strength seen in the oak trees, which called the existing garden home, and the patients undergoing physical rehabilitation treatment with Siskin Hospital. The steel leaf motif seen throughout the pavilion truly embodies Siskin Hospital’s history and the future it provides patients each and every day.

We would like to thank all of those involved in this monumental project, and invite our patients, guests, and associates outside to the Healing Garden to enjoy the beauty of nature while sitting under the Clarence E. Harris Pavilion.
