Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation is seeking to add a Wound Ostomy Care Registered Nurse (PRN status) to our award-winning team of medical professionals. SHPR offers excellent nurse to patient ratios, relationship building with patients, families, and team members. Our patients are on the road to recovery, and we play a major part in that journey. Come join us and remember why you became a nurse!

Our Wound Ostomy Nurses work independently to direct, coordinate and evaluate the care of patients with wounds, ostomies, and continence issues. They provide direct nursing care to patients with fistulas, pressure injuries, venous and arterial ulcers, incontinence and other skin and wound problems while providing staff, family and patient education on skin integrity and wound related issues. The Wound Care Nurse uses evidence-based practice to develop care plans and uses the skin integrity policy to guide treatment planning. The Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse collaborates with the Therapy and Medical teams to coordinate patient care and direct outcomes. He or She monitors wound healing progress and evaluates the need for treatment changes while accurately documenting wound assessment findings, interventions, referrals, recommendations and wound healing status.
