Payroll/Accounts Payable Coordinator

Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation is looking to add a Payroll/Accounts Payable Coordinator to the Finance team! The successful candidate will, under the moderate direction of the Controller, coordinate the payroll functions to include the accurate and timely processing of all payrolls, both bi-weekly and special. (S)he will coordinate all payroll reporting within established timeframes. (S)he will coordinate the day-to-day accounts payable preparation, including but not limited to obtaining invoice approvals, issuing of payments, organization of Purchasing Card invoices and approvals, and execution of the accounts payable month-end close process.

Minimum qualifications or equivalents -

  • Education:

    • High school diploma

  • Experience:

    • Experience in healthcare setting, preferred.

    • 2 years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience

    • 1 year of Payroll experience

  • Skills/Competencies:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Intermediate experience with MS Word/Excel required

    • Kronos/UKG Dimensions experience preferred

    • Experience with WellSky software preferred

    • Strong typing (45 WPM) and general clerical skills required

  • Physical / Mental Requirements:

    • Position requires ability to frequently:

    • Push, pull, and/or lift light objects.

    • Perform simple manipulative skills.

    • Sit for prolonged periods.

    • Must be able to see objects closely.

    • Must be able to hear normal sounds with some degree of background noise.

    • Requires constant eye/hand coordination.

    • Concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption.

    • Attention span - must be able to concentrate on assigned tasks for a minimum of 45-60 minutes at a time.

    • Must be able to remember multiple assignments given to self and others over long periods of time.
