Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Assistant Chief Nursing Officer to add to our leadership team. Their primary responsibility is to support the Chief Nursing Officer in providing leadership and direction for all nursing-related services in the hospital. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day clinical and operational functions of the nursing division in alignment with the organization’s mission to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. The ACNO will assist in the planning, organizing, and evaluation of clinical nursing practices to ensure high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care is delivered across all inpatient units. The ACNO will play a vital role in advancing nursing strategy, enhancing care quality and efficiency, and fostering a collaborative and accountable culture. This role has a key focus on regulatory compliance, performance improvement, patient safety, and staff development specific to a rehabilitation setting. This leader partners closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and other clinical leaders to drive innovation, support nursing excellence, and promote continuous improvement across all nursing departments.

Minimum qualifications or equivalents -

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare related field, or MBA required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.

  • Doctoral degree (DNP, PhD, or DHA) preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in healthcare, preferably in rehabilitation, acute care, or post-acute settings. Experience supporting system-level initiatives or service line leadership is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of physical medicine and rehabilitation practices, patient populations, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Proven success in nursing quality improvement and team leadership.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary nursing teams, support clinical operations, and drive alignment with organizational strategy.

  • Strong understanding of nursing practice standards, healthcare regulations and quality improvement metrics relevant to patient care and nursing services.

  • Ability to contribute to the development and execution of nursing strategies that improve care outcomes, staffing efficiency, and patient experience.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence change.

  • A track record of achieving measurable improvements in clinical quality, staff engagement, and patient satisfaction through effective nursing leadership and operational execution.

License/Certification:

  • Current RN license in the state of practice (in good standing).

  • BLS and ACLS certification required.

  • CRRN preferred. Must be attained as soon as eligible.
