TMJ & Headache

The TMJ and Headache Program at Siskin Hospital improves the symptoms of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction.

Evaluation by a qualified physical therapist and a personalized treatment plan can often bring relief.

TMJ symptoms, such as jaw pain and popping, pain when chewing, frequent headaches, teeth grinding and an inability to fully open the mouth, seriously affect your quality of life. Fortunately, there’s a treatment available.

One of our qualified physical therapist will evaluate you and develop a tailored home exercise program. The therapists will also treat the dysfunction using hands-on mobilization and stretching of the TMJ, neck and other related structures.

Ultrasound, moist heat application and electrical stimulation may also be used to address your pain and discomfort.
