Dr BowersDr. David Bowers

Medical Director, Admitting Physician

Dr. Bowers specializes in spasticity management and performs Botox® and Myobloc® injections and ITB (Inthrathecal Baclofen) pump management. Since 1996, he has been an active staff member at Siskin Hospital, where he currently serves as medical director.

Dr. Bowers is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as an independent medical examiner. He is also certified with the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Dr. Bowers is a graduate of Loma Linda University. He completed his residency at Ohio State University, where he specialized in physical medicine and rehabilitation and was named chief resident.

 

 

 


Dr David EselgrothDr. Stephan Eselgroth

Admitting Physician

Dr. Eselgroth specializes in the treatment of patients with spinal cord injury, multiple trauma, orthopedic conditions, amputations and general rehabilitation. He is the orthopedic program director at Siskin Hospital.

Dr. Eselgroth completed his medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine; Frazier Rehabilitation Institute; University of Tennessee College of Medicine-Chattanooga Unit; and Siskin Hospital.

 

 

 

 


Dr Erwin ManoloDr. Erwin Manalo

Admitting Physician

Dr. Manalo specializes in the treatment of patients with brain injury, general rehabilitation and spasticity, including intrathecal baclofen therapy and botulinum toxin chemodenervation. He is the program director for Siskin Hospital’s Brain Injury Program.

Dr. Manalo is primary board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and brain injury, and subspecialty board-certified in brain injury medicine.

Dr. Manalo earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University and completed his residency at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

 

 

 


Dr Steven MusickDr. Steven Musick

Admitting Physician

Dr. Musick specializes in neuro rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injuries, workers’ compensation and osteoporosis.

Dr. Musick earned his medical degree from The University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his resident at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is a certified independent medical examiner. Dr. Musick performs Botox® and Myobloc® injections for spasticity, headaches and cervical dystonia.

 

 

 

 


Dr Matthew RiderDr. Matthew Rider

Admitting Physician, Medical Director of the Stroke Rehabilitation Program

Dr. Rider is medical director of Siskin Hospital’s Stroke Rehabilitation Program. He leads a treatment team of highly-skilled professionals whose goal is to help each patient achieve the best recovery outcome possible. He specializes in neurological disorders.

Dr. Rider plays a key role in the ongoing development of the Stroke Recovery Aftercare Program.

Dr. Rider received his medical degree from and completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Indiana University School of Medicine.

 

 

 

 


Dr Jerry SmithDr. Jerry Smith

Admitting Physician

Dr. Smith specializes in traumatic brain injury and neuro rehabilitation as well as acute and chronic pain management and workers’ compensation services.

He completed his medical degree at the University of Kentucky School of Medicine and his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the Medical College of Virginia.

 

 

 

 

 


Dr Paula StewartDr. Paula Stewart

Admitting Physician

Dr. Stewart earned her medical degree at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Stewart is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation with a subspecialty board certification in spinal cord medicine. She is also a LANA Designated Clinical Lymphology Therapist. Dr. Stewart has published on pain management in spinal cord injury, lymphedema and wound care challenges.
