The Center for NeuroRecovery includes a home-like treatment area dedicated to a patient's activities of daily living.
A key principle in motor re-learning is to ensure the patient is actively engaged in an activity meaningful to them.
The "living and self-care" area allows patients to practice activities they will frequently perform in their own homes. Here, therapists help patients regain independence with cooking, bed making and mobility at home.
The Living/Self-Care treatment area in the Center for NeuroRecovery meets hospital-level infection control standards for our patients' protection.
