June 21, 2021

The Aster Awards has awarded Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation the Gold Award in the Billboard Design Series category for its “Because of Siskin Hospital, I Can!” billboards.

In addition, Siskin Hospital received the Bronze Award for its end-of-year Direct Mail Piece, among thousands of other entries from across the country.

These awards are in addition to the Healthcare Marketing Report Awards Siskin Hospital received in May.

“I am exceptionally pleased with the distinctions our marketing team has once again attained among its peers,” said Dr. Matthew A. Gibson, president and CEO of Siskin Hospital. “Its remarkable creativity consistently enhances our brand and is a credit to the field of medical rehabilitation.”

The Aster Awards has honored excellence in healthcare advertising since 2002. One of the largest and most respected national competitions of its kind, participants across the U. S. compete for awards against similar-sized organizations in their specific groups and categories, in advertising, marketing and communications.

The 2021 Aster Awards received entries from across the entire United States as well as abroad. All entries are judged on creativity, layout/design, typography, production, quality and overall effectiveness. A diverse panel of industry experts, comprised of design and healthcare marketing professionals with decades of combined experience, judge all entries. Awards were issued for entries that received top marks from judges placing them in the nation’s top 16 percent for advertising excellence. Specifically, Gold Awards score in the nation’s top five percent and Silver Awards in the top 12 percent.

The goal of many of Siskin Hospital’s marketing communications is to celebrate life beyond disability through stories of actual patients who have overcome significant challenges and find that life is full of possibilities.
