November 14, 2017

Siskin Hospital is proud to announce that eight members of its nursing staff have recently achieved Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) status.

With this accomplishment, 50 percent of Siskin Hospital’s eligible bedside nurses are now CRRN certified.

The nurses are John Anastas, Erresha Jackson, Teresa McAlister, Stacy Pemberton, Tonya Perryman, Kathleen Post, Tracy Reed and Sarah Walker.

The five-year certification is issued by the Rehabilitation Nursing Certification Board. Nurses must obtain 60 CEUs every five years to maintain their expertise in rehabilitation nursing.

“The CRRN designation demonstrates our nurses’ expertise in the care of patients with physical disabilities,” says Siskin Hospital President & CEO Carol Sim.

The CRRN credential reflects expert knowledge in the nursing care of rehabilitation patients as well as legislative, economic, ethical and legal issues.
