Siskin Hospital is AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award recipient

July 29, 2019

Siskin Hospital’s Subacute program has received a 2019 Bronze AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award.

The American Health Care Association (AHCA) and the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) awarded the designation for demonstrated intent to begin a rigorous quality improvement program. The program is based on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive.

The Award focuses on quality irrespective of the type of industry applying, and is designed to be an ongoing improvement process to encourage an organization’s continual change and performance excellence.

“Achieving this award represents the care and dedication of our entire staff,” says Cindy Wheeler, administrator of Siskin Hospital’s SubAcute program. “I’m very proud of our team as we pursue the highest quality of care for all of our patients.”

The Subacute program at Siskin Hospital West has 48 certified beds focused on rehabilitation. The program is recognized by Medicare as a five-star provider, one of only two facilities in the area so designated.

The award will be presented at AHCA/NCAL’s 70th Convention and Expo in Orlando, Florida in October.
