Siskin Hospital is awarded $7,500 for its 2nd-place standing in the Food City Charity Challenge contest.
“We are thrilled to accept this award,” said President & CEO Carol Sim. “Our congratulations go to Food City on its century of
service to our region. For us, achieving second place in the contest is just another example of the tremendous community support we’ve experienced during our 28 years of service, for which we are grateful.”
In celebration of Food City’s 100th anniversary, the retail supermarket chain announced in April its plans to donate $100,000 to charitable organizations in its market area. Siskin Hospital was one of several not-for-profit organizations that were selected to represent the Chattanooga region of Food City’s market area.
The contest began April 18 and ran through May 29. The number of votes for individual charities on Food City’s designated website determined the top three winners. Participants could vote once per day per device. Three prizes were offered: $12,500 for first place (most votes); $7,500 for second place; and $5,000 for third place.
Siskin Hospital applauds its supporters who faithfully logged in votes day after day. Your support was sincerely appreciated.
