Your Guide to Siskin Hospital’s Patient & Guest Amenities
The following information will help guide you through Siskin Hospital’s Patient and Guest Amenities. We are here to serve you, so please contact the nursing staff or your case manager for more information.
Family & Friends
At Siskin Hospital, we believe that family participation and education are essential to your positive rehabilitation outcome.
Your family or caregivers may be asked to attend therapy for training and education purposes. These sessions are an opportunity for your caregivers to learn and practice the skills that will be required to safely assist you once you leave the hospital. It is very important for the caregivers to attend the sessions, and we encourage an open discussion of thoughts and concerns that relate to your pending discharge.
Family & Guest Visitation
Visiting with family and friends is another important part of the rehabilitation process, so we encourage visits to Siskin Hospital. Due to your active therapy schedule, friends, extended family, and clergy are encouraged to stop by after completion of your daily therapies and should plan to end their visits no later than 9:00 p.m. Visits may also occur during non-scheduled therapy times throughout the day.

At least once a week, the staff working with you will have a team meeting to discuss your progress and plan for your discharge. Your case manager will meet with you frequently during your stay to keep you informed about your discharge plans and can make arrangements for your follow-up appointments, as well as any equipment that you will need.
Your length of stay is based on a number of factors such as your medical and functional status, your discharge environment / available caregivers, and your insurance coverage.
