William F. Wilder, Jr.

William (Bill) Wilder, Jr. has more than 40 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has served in roles of business insurance producer and sales manager, then became vice president and CEO of Huffaker & Associates and Huffaker & Trimble until the company was sold to BB&T Bank in 2005. Following this, he served as agency executive until 2014 when he became senior vice president in sales and service.

Bill graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He received his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation in 1981.

Bill currently serves on the boards of Hospice of Chattanooga, Heritage Landing Condo Association and YMCA of Metro Chattanooga. Past board service includes United Way of Chattanooga, YMCA of Metro Chattanooga (chair), Teen Challenge of the Mid-South, Siskin Children’s Institute, Miracle League of Chattanooga, Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Chattanooga, Chattanooga Boys Choir, Jaycees of Chattanooga, READ of Chattanooga, Better Business Bureau, Bible in Schools and Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.

He was inducted into the United Way Leadership Hall of Fame in 2015 and was the 2010 United Way of the Year Volunteer Award Recipient. Also in 2010, he was awarded the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Leadership Fundraiser Award. The YMCA of Metro Chattanooga bestowed the William Pettway Memorial Leadership Award on Bill in 2003.

Bill and his wife Kathy enjoy outdoor activities, boating and travel.
