Golf Classic 2011

The 21st Annual Siskin Hospital Golf Classic was held on October 4th, 2011 at Council Fire Golf Course.

For the past 21 years, Siskin Hospital has proudly set the mark for benefit golf tournaments in the greater Chattanooga area with the Siskin Hospital Golf Classic.  From the challenging course at Council Fire to the competitive players who participate, from the delicious gourmet meals to the extravagant golfer giveaways, the Siskin Hospital Golf Classic is truly a premier golfing experience to remember.

This is our ninth year of the Chairman's Club, a special opportunity for members to give back to Siskin Hospital.  We had an overwhelming response again this year and want to thank the golfers and sponsors who stepped up to the plate to join this elite group-the 2011 Chairman's Club, an impressive 94% of our roster.

We also want to thank Rick Donnahoo, Dean Nebben, Ray Jones and Pat Patterson who have played in all 21 tournaments.  We appreciate their loyalty and support year after year.

We gratefully salute our Titanium and Platinum sponsors this year! BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee joined us as the only Titanium sponsor for the 2011 Siskin Hospital Golf Classic, increasing their sponsorship from the Platinum level in previous years.  Platinum sponsors include Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling Company, COS Business Products & Interiors, Erlanger Health System, Gerber/Taylor Capital Advisors, Inc., Russ Blakely & Associates, and Unum.  We are proud to note that both Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling Company and COS Business Products & Interiors have been major underwriters for all 21 tournaments.

Thanks to Russ Blakely & Associates, and back by popular demand, all golfers once again have the chance to walk way with $20,000 in cash for the "Hole in One" prize on the twelfth hole.  You can actually view the cash prize courtesy of SunTrust Bank at the tournament's entrance.  Kelly Cars has, for the 21^st consecutive year, sponsored the "Hole in One" prize on the fourth hole, a 2011 Infiniti FX3.  We appreciate the support of these and all of our sponsors, whose commitment and generosity make our tournament a great success each year.

Every dollar raised by the Siskin Hospital Golf Classic helps to improve the lives of the disabled and their families.  We are happy to report that last year's tournament raised more than $90,000 for charity care.  Once again, this year's tournament proceeds will provide charity care for those patients without adequate insurance to cover the cost of their care.
