What is the Pelvic Floor Program?
The Pelvic Floor Program is a multidisciplinary treatment program for patients with pelvic muscle dysfunction. This includes those with disorders of the bowel, bladder incontinence and pelvic pain disorders.
Incontinence is not a normal part of aging and many types of incontinence can be helped without medication or invasive intervention. A program of muscle contraction exercises, behavioral strategies and biofeedback are offered to enhance muscle control and reverse inefficient pelvic floor musculature.
Pain disorders can result from dysfunction of the reproductive, urinary, gastrointestinal, neurological, psychological and musculoskeletal systems. A treatment program is designed to restore the movement and function of thepelvis and related structures. Techniques for joint and soft tissue dysfunction include exercise, manual therapy, biofeedback, modalities and education to address muscle weakness and tightness.

A physician's referral and prescription are required before therapy can begin. After receiving a referral, a team member will contact the patient to schedule an evaluation.
