Since the first patient came through our doors, we have shared the lives of thousands who have touched our hearts as we watched them triumph over adversity and pain to regain their lives. Many have taken their first new steps in our halls, spoken their first new words in our ears, and have stood alongside us as they relearned the skills that led them to an independent life once more.
They are both our inspiration for tomorrow and the reason we are here today. Join us in honoring fifteen individuals whose courageous struggle against overwhelming obstacles represents every patient who has entered our doors.

"Siskin Hospital Gave Me Back The Chance To Serve My Country"
"For as long as I can remember, all I ever wanted was to be a soldier. Joining the military right after high school graduation had always been my dream. But, while finishing my senior year and on the threshold of making that dream a reality, a head-on collision almost took it all away.
The accident caused devastating injuries to my leg and wrist that prevented my from joining the Air Force, but the staff at Siskin Hospital helped me to realize that my dream was not over, just postponed.
They were always at my side, encouraging me every step of the way as I regained strength and the use of my leg and wrist. Today with the help of the caring staff at Siskin Hospital, I am a proud member of the United States Air Force and my dream has become a reality."
"The staff taught us to how to get back out in the world. They became so much more to me than care givers, they truly became my friends."
"The staff was great. When they saw the frustration, they knew when to step in. They knew I was working hard and they pushed me to work harder."
"They just went out of their way to help me. They really encouraged me to go back into my life and pursue all my dreams. They became friends, not just therapists..."
"I kept my sense of humor and during the serious times my therapist pushed me to go where I needed to go."
"They brought me back from where I couldn't do anything. They're the greatest bunch of people I ever thought I could meet."
"I had to relearn everything you take for granted and then some. I feel honored that by working here I can give back to Siskin Hospital what they gave to me."
"I was completely dependent on a feeding tube. I couldn't even sip water. At Siskin Hospital, I was able to taste food again and these days, I eat whatever I want."
"The people at Siskin Hospital were great. If I had a million dollars, they could have half of it, no problem."
"Without a doubt, they helped me out so much. They made a really difficult time into a wonderful experience... It certainly helped me realize not to take anything for granted."
"I felt like I was in the best possible place. Therapists there treat the whole patient, not just the injury. I'm convinced I had the greatest therapists at Siskin Hospital."
"All the people working with you know what the others are doing. They understand your goals and how each piece of the therapy puzzle fits together to reach those goals."

"The Lord has blessed me with a lot of determination and tenacity. The Siskin Hospital nurses and therapists give loving, knowledgeable care, but ultimately, it's up to you."
"Siskin Hospital gave me back my mobility. I have a lot of friends there. I never lost my hope. I love the place."
"If Mose and Garrison Siskin were still here today, they would be very proud. They knew what they were doing when they dreamed of starting Siskin Hospital."
