Patient Success Stories

Since the first patient came through our doors, we have shared the lives of thousands who have touched our hearts as we watched them triumph over adversity and pain to regain their lives. Many have taken their first new steps in our halls, spoken their first new words in our ears, and have stood alongside us as they relearned the skills that led them to an independent life once more.

They are both our inspiration for tomorrow and the reason we are here today. Join us in honoring fifteen individuals whose courageous struggle against overwhelming obstacles represents every patient who has entered our doors.

"Siskin Hospital Gave Me Back The Chance To Serve My Country"

    Blake McClendon

"For as long as I can remember, all I ever wanted was to be a soldier. Joining the military right after high school graduation had always been my dream. But, while finishing my senior year and on the threshold of making that dream a reality, a head-on collision almost took it all away.

The accident caused devastating injuries to my leg and wrist that prevented my from joining the Air Force, but the staff at Siskin Hospital helped me to realize that my dream was not over, just postponed.

They were always at my side, encouraging me every step of the way as I regained strength and the use of my leg and wrist. Today with the help of the caring staff at Siskin Hospital, I am a proud member of the United States Air Force and my dream has become a reality."

    Becky Matthews
"The staff taught us to how to get back out in the world. They became so much more to me than care givers, they truly became my friends."

    Bobby Bean
"The staff was great. When they saw the frustration, they knew when to step in. They knew I was working hard and they pushed me to work harder."

    Carolyn Raborn
"They just went out of their way to help me. They really encouraged me to go back into my life and pursue all my dreams. They became friends, not just therapists..."
