The Speech Therapy Program at Siskin Hospital improves communication and cognition for patients experiencing difficulty speaking, processing and communicating information as a result of:

• Cognitive disorders
• Developmental speech and language disorders
• Fluency problems and stuttering
• Voice disorders and
• Reading and writing disorders.

A speech-language pathologist evaluates the patient and develops an individualized treatment plan that may include the use of augmentive communication devices or the treatment of swallowing disorders.
