Siskin Hospital Announces New
Chattanooga Scleroderma Support Group
Chattanooga, TN-- Siskin Hospital announces the addition of a new Support Group - the Chattanooga Scleroderma Support Group.
According to the Scleroderma Foundation, Scleroderma is a chronic connective tissue disease generally classified as an autoimmune rheumatic disease. Hardening of the skin is one of the most visible manifestations of the disease.
"We are very excited to be able to get together with you and your families to share our experiences, exchange ideas and provide support to each other," Linda Chaff, Scleroderma Support Group Leader, explained.
The Chattanooga Scleroderma Support Group will meet the 1st Tuesday of each month beginning on December 4th, 2012 at Siskin Hospital's 1st Floor Outpatient Main Conference Room. The kick-off meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. Future meeting schedules may vary, so please contact Linda Chaff at 423.886.6000, 423.718.8873 or linda@chaffco.com. Mission Statement: This is a social group for young adults/adults with disabilities and their Assistance Dogs. This is a great way for your Assistance Dog to meet new friends and get together monthly to enjoy different activities, including basic training, while making some lifelong friends. The group will also be a great way to advocate for people who have Assistance Dogs and educate the community on why they are a vital part of our lives!
