Siskin Hospital Announces New Support Group for People Who Have Assistance Dogs
Siskin Hospital announces the addition of a new Support Group- Chattanooga Adventurers and Assistance Dogs. The Chattanooga Adventurers and Assistance Dogs is a Social Group for young adults/adults with disabilities and their assistance dogs. The group will meet the 3rd Thursday of each month beginning on March 15th, 2012 at Siskin Hospital's 1st Floor Outpatient Conference Room. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.
This group is a great way for assistance dogs to meet new friends and get together monthly to enjoy different activities while their owners make some lifelong friends. A trainer will attend each meeting and will offer basic training touch-ups for the owners and their assistance dogs. This group will also be a great way to advocate for people who have assistance dogs and educate the community on why they are a vital part of many individuals' lives.
