PATIENT PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

Aerobics, Groups and Classes

The Fitness Center at Siskin Hospital has a variety of groups that give members an opportunity to work on achieving their fitness goals in a supportive group environment. Note: For aquatics classes, please see the Aquatics Page.

* The Quick Circuit Group provides a fun, non-intimidating, group exercise experience for all members. The group uses 10 hydraulic machines that are safe, easy-to-use, and provide a complete whole body workout in a short period of time.

* The Walk & Roll Group allows you to work on strength, balance, endurance, and overall mobility while walking or rolling on our indoor or outdoor track.

* The LACE Group focuses on improving the strength and endurance of your Legs, Arms, and Core Endurance in an upbeat setting that welcomes and challenges everyone. Large Swiss balls, hand weights, Theraband, and other "tools" may be used in this group.

* With the Flexibility, Coordination and Balance Group, improve these three key areas to discover how much better you will feel. Limitations in coordination and tightness anywhere in your body can cause the loss of balance, falls, pain adn a variety of other ailments.

* As a participant in the Leisure Interest Group, you will have access to a Certified Recreational Therapy Specialist to help you discover fulfilling activies to complement the healthy improvements to your body at the Fitness Center.

In addition to these scheduled groups, the Fitness Center staff will hold short, unscheduled training group sessions as the need is identified.

This schedule may change. Groups may be added and deleted as dictated by member interest and need.

Other specialized classes, such as adapted wheelchair Tai Chi and Yoga, will be offered for a nominal fee during specified periods as determined by member interest and need. Please indicate your interest to any staff member of the Fitness Center.
